Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves using a device with fine needles to create tiny punctures (micro-injuries) in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the skin’s natural healing process, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin—key proteins that help maintain the skin’s structure, elasticity, and appearance.

Microneedling is commonly used to treat various skin concerns, including:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles: Helps to smooth out the skin and reduce the appearance of aging.

  • Acne scars: It can improve the texture and appearance of skin by breaking down scar tissue.

  • Stretch marks: Microneedling can improve the appearance of stretch marks by stimulating collagen production in affected areas.

  • Hyperpigmentation: The treatment can help even out skin tone and reduce dark spots.

  • Skin texture and tone: Regular treatments can improve overall skin texture, making it smoother and more youthful-looking.

The procedure typically involves the use of a pen-like device with small, fine needles that are adjusted to different lengths based on the treatment area and skin concern.

To enhance the results of microneedling, we highly recommend pairing it with nourishing serums or peptides. These ingredients penetrate deeper into the skin due to the micro-channels created during the treatment, allowing for maximum absorption and effectiveness. Serums that target hydration, brightening, or anti-aging, or peptides that help with skin repair and regeneration, can provide long-lasting, visible results when combined with microneedling.

Microneedling has a relatively short recovery time, with many people experiencing redness or slight swelling for a few days after the treatment. The results often become more noticeable after several treatments, depending on the condition being treated.

A series of 4 microneedling treatments is recommended, each spaced about 4 weeks apart. Some clients may require less treatments while those with deep wrinkles or acne scars may need more treatments. For optimal results, ask us about the best serums or peptides to complement your treatment!

It's essential to have microneedling done by a licensed professional to ensure safety and effectiveness.
